Reinventing the Showroom Experience

Over the past year, Arbor Zen has undergone a major transformation to better serve our clients and community. At the heart of this evolution is the complete renovation of our showroom into a design center, an appointment-only space where builders, architects, designers, and homeowners receive personalized, one-on-one guidance.

Instead of simply browsing flooring samples, clients now arrive with their project layout and ideas, and our team prepares a vision board and curated selection of options tailored specifically to their project. This approach allows us to dedicate focused time, creativity, and expertise to each customer—delivering a more meaningful experience than a traditional retail showroom could provide.

Education as a Cornerstone

We believe that knowledge empowers better design and decision-making. That’s why we’ve expanded our commitment to education, hosting industry-focused workshops and seminars to keep clients up to date on flooring trends, techniques, and possibilities.

This same philosophy extends inward as well. Our sales team regularly participates in internal training so that everyone stays informed about the fast-changing world of hardwood flooring. By sharing knowledge, we strengthen not only our company but also the wider building community we serve.

A Stronger Digital Presence

In spring, we launched a brand-new website that showcases our projects, team, and community involvement in a way that reflects who we truly are—a locally owned, family-centered business deeply rooted in the Asheville region. We also began publishing a newsletter for building professionals, offering updates on current projects, featured products, and exclusive offers to keep our partners connected.

Looking Ahead

Recognition from Wood Floor Business Magazine comes at an exciting time for Arbor Zen. This summer, we plan to open our second location, expanding our reach across North Carolina. We’re also in the process of launching our very own private-label line of hardwood flooring, a collection designed to embody the craftsmanship and style our clients expect.

For us, these changes are more than business strategy—they’re part of a larger vision. As our founder, Grayson Deal, shared in the article:

“I’m trying to build something that one day my children can get involved in.”

Gratitude

We extend our deepest thanks to Wood Floor Business Magazine for this recognition and for being a guiding light in our industry. We are also incredibly grateful to our partners, clients, and community who inspire us to keep growing, innovating, and delivering the highest level of craftsmanship.

This award belongs not just to Arbor Zen, but to everyone who has walked alongside us on this journey.

Discovering Dustless Floor Refinishing: A Homeowner's Journey

What Is Dustless Hardwood Refinishing and How Does It Work? Dustless hardwood refinishing uses specialized tools and containment to dramatically reduce the dust created while sanding and finishing. High-suction vacuums paired with HEPA filtration remove fine particles as they’re produced, keeping the space much cleaner than conventional sanding.

The result is a refinished floor without the lingering dust issues that typically follow traditional methods—so you can enjoy the finished space sooner and with less cleanup.
